Why choose us? We are here to motivate young minds and develop happy and healthy dancers. Our positive faculty develops students that are confident and well disciplined. We are a place where you will feel at home and each dancer will build friendships that will last a lifetime!
Offered to children (both boys and girls) currently 3 years old, or those that will be 2.5 years old by December. Introduces dance basics and inspires young dancers to express themselves through movement, developing their understanding of the art and technique of dance in an atmosphere of fun and purpose. Students will learn the joys of their connection with various stories and their characters. Memorization improves because the elements of dance are identified and used in many interesting ways. Focus on form, technique and composition increases with age and ability within the curriculum.
They will also learn how to participate in a group, take direction from a teacher, and take turns. Children are encouraged to participate in class, but are not forced to do so. For the child that is apprehensive about participating, we encourage them to watch until they become more comfortable. As each child develops differently, patience on the part of the parents, as well as the child is stressed. Our goal is to prepare the children to be more independent when they reach preschool age. Those children that have completed our Tutu’s and Bowties program have proven to be less hesitant and well prepared for our preschool program the following year. Tiny Tots do not perform a dance in our recital.
Must be 3 by December and potty-trained.
These classes do not participate in the recital.
